About the Founder

After 25 years in corporate sales and sales leadership, Laura Thies founded The Sales Blueprint Company to help businesses grow with a clear, proven sales system.

​

Laura’s sales journey began in college, knocking on doors and selling educational books 90 hours a week during the summer. She finished #3 out of 3,000 reps and led a top 10 team, lessons that continue to shape her approach today: sales is a system — and systems can be taught, repeated, and scaled.

 

Over the next two decades, Laura built and led sales teams across several Fortune 500 companies in multiple industries, often starting from scratch — defining processes, building structure, hiring the right people, and implementing the tools that make teams run efficiently. She discovered a unique talent not just for selling, but for creating the infrastructure that enables others to succeed at a high level.

Through The Sales Blueprint Company, Laura brings that same structured, hands-on approach. Whether a company is just starting to build a sales team, enhance a sales team, or looking to scale with better systems, she works alongside them to design and implement a custom sales blueprint — from lead generation and CRM systems to team design, compensation plans, pitch refinement, and sales-to-service handoff.

Laura's Credentials 

Laura holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nebraska and is a Certified Executive Coach (ICF Level 1) through the Center for Executive Coaching. She also completed Harvard University’s Business and Industry Insight Program. With over 20 years of sales and sales leadership experience, Laura has served as Vice President of Sales in multiple Fortune 500 companies. Her accomplishments include the AMN Healthcare President’s Club Award and the IBM Sales Eminence Award, both recognizing top performance in sales and leadership. She has also received other awards during her career focused on sales and sales leadership, including the Southwestern Company Excellence Award (#1 out of 3,500 salespeople).
